"I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" is director Keenen Ivory Wayan's nod to the great black exploitation films of the 70s. For this reason, he littered the film with stand-outs of the genre, including Jim Brown, John Vernon, and the recently deceased, Isaac Hayes.

The plot is your typical set-up. New guy comes to town, finds out things are being run by... (drum roll)... a villain named Mr. Big. Decides he's had enough and recruits some old buddies to go fuck some shit up.

If there was ever one thing that could be more beautiful than watching a horde of wobbly-legged zombies eat their way through a bus-load of third-graders, it would be watching a Ukrainian-born model in a highly impractical, yet aesthetically pleasing nomad-chic ensemble chop off their undead heads with a set of twin Nepalese blades.

Snake’s back.

John Carpenter’s Escape from New York is one of the greatest movies ever made, hands down. You’ve got post-apocalyptic destruction, intense action sequences, and a bad ass in an eye patch that goes by the name of Snake (and sometimes Plissken, if you can catch him on a good day).

In 1996, when I first saw the trailer for the sequel to this sci-fi/action classic in which our eye patch rocking anti-hero was back, this time to escape from Los Angeles of all places, without hesitation, I pissed my pants.

Then the movie came out and...it was OK.

Angela Miller is having a really rotten day. First things first, she and her Special Response Teammate get hand-picked by this mysterious leather-clad guy in finger-gloves and an emo 'do to have a go at an airport full of flesh-n-brain hungry undead on a search-n-pluck for some fat slob senator trapped inside. Then she watches as her S.R.T. pal has his neck ripped open and bled dry, only to get his dead-gangsta swerve on a scene or two later as just another walking corpse.
